Beyond These Stars Landscapers Not Composting: Supply and Job Checks
The quick answer
Landscapers consume Compost to improve land; the Compost Heap produces it. If a composting job is idle, check the supply, eligible dry ground, staff and any unfinished terrain jobs.
Are you trying to make or apply Compost?
| Goal | Building or task |
|---|---|
| Produce Compost | Compost Heap |
| Turn bare ground into fertile land | Landscaper composting job |
Waiting for a Landscaper to create Compost will not fill your stockpile. Inspect the Compost Heap’s inputs, workers and output space first.
Check an idle composting job
- Make sure the target tiles are not underwater.
- Check that Compost is available and can be delivered.
- Confirm the Landscaper has its required workers and is within housing work range.
- Inspect job priorities, especially if the town has more jobs than Peeps.
- Check unfinished levelling or other terrain jobs before assuming the composting job has disappeared.
If levelling is still active, watch which job the Landscaper is actually doing. Clearing that workload may let composting begin, but it is not a guaranteed fix for every idle job.
If terrain work is also stuck
Inspect Debris as well as Compost. Excavation can stop when Debris has nowhere to go, while raising ground needs a Debris supply. A buffer that workers can reach may help the terrain work proceed.
Composting alone is not a promise that pollution will fall fast enough. Keep Cleaners supplied and use forests alongside your land-improvement work.
