Beyond These Stars Population Limit: The 90-Peep Demo Cap and Schools
The quick answer
The 90-Peep limit is a demo cap. For normal growth in the full game, housing must be within a School’s range and have empty Peep Slots.
If your demo population stops at 90
The demo has a 90-Peep cap. Adding Schools or increasing their priority does not remove that demo limit.
The full game does not carry over that specific cap. This does not mean every possible population is free of performance or other practical limits.
Check growth in the full game
- Check for empty Peep Slots in housing.
- Make sure those homes are inside a School’s range.
- Keep food and drinking water available.
- Watch the eligible homes for new population.
The initial Home Spaceship brings 30 Peeps. More work positions do not create more Peeps on their own; housing capacity and education coverage are separate requirements.
Expand jobs at the same pace
Production buildings need all their worker positions filled. If you build more industry than your population can staff, low-priority jobs may go unfilled.
Pause nonessential buildings and prioritise the chain you need while population grows.
