Getting started
Beyond These Stars: Can You See the Whole Whale?
The quick answer
Kewa appears in exterior scenes, but those scenes are different from a freely controllable full-body camera. System and Galaxy views serve navigation and do not provide a known shortcut to a front view with both eyes.
Choose the view for your goal
| What you want to see | Relevant view |
|---|---|
| Your settlement and its terrain | The city view |
| Stars, planets and travel direction | System or Galaxy View |
| Kewa from outside the settlement | Exterior scenes during the story |
A city zoom-out and a galaxy map are not interchangeable with a whale portrait camera. An exterior scene can show part of Kewa without fitting the entire body on screen.
Looking for the face and both eyes
There is no repeatable whole-whale or front-view hotkey to recommend here. Check the camera options available in your build before changing unrelated gameplay settings.
The old demo did not offer a full-whale view. Do not treat that demo restriction as proof that every full-release camera behaves identically, or a cinematic exterior shot as proof of a manual orbit control.
