Getting started
Beyond These Stars Farmhouse Unlock and the Bodytext Prerequisite
The quick answer
In PC v1.0.2244, the Farmhouse requires Metal Smelter and flooding dry tiles. Bodytext is an old demo placeholder, not a resource to collect.
What the Farmhouse needs
The PC v1.0.2244 Farmhouse technology card lists two requirements:
| Requirement | What to do |
|---|---|
| Metal Smelter | Complete the Metal Smelter prerequisite in the technology tree |
| Flood dry tiles | Let water actually reach dry ground |
The card does not specify a number of tiles to flood. Do not assume a large flooded area is required just because the unlock has not appeared yet.
Complete the water task
- Plan a channel that brings water to dry tiles.
- Let the Landscaper finish digging the whole channel.
- Complete the channel job to remove its water barrier and release the water.
- Reopen the Farmhouse card and check both requirements. When they are satisfied, Fields and Farmhouses become available.
A planned channel is not yet flooded ground. If the water is still held back, finish the landscaping job before building more channels.
If the prerequisite still looks incomplete
Check the Metal Smelter branch as well as the ground. Technology prerequisites can require the earlier building to be constructed and working; a line in the tree alone is not proof that the condition is complete.
If you are playing the old demo, Bodytext refers to its broken label. There is no item named Bodytext to collect or craft.
